Buried in the workings of our new ROI service (Rethink OTT Intelligence) we have found a number of deals which were press released as going to Cisco and yet it turns out that the system has never been taken live, or has gone live with other equipment. This suggests that Cisco was desperately in need of an end to end OTT, rapidly deployable service to beat off counter bids from specialists like Kaltura, Ooyala and Quickplay Media and a host of other, smaller businesses.
