ViacomCBS has moved its content distribution system from satellite to an IP-based CDN with the help of CommScope’s DigiCipher Streaming system. Suspiciously, the US networking and pay TV equipment vendor argues that satellite distribution is on the way out – something Faultline has definitely debated with the Arris side of the business in the past to which we’ve faced resistance.
