The EBU has launched a new initiative for member broadcasters to share best practices surrounding the implementation of HbbTV and DVB-I. The HbbTV & DVB-I Interoperability group aims to understand the state of HbbTV in EBU member markets, and establish ways of authoring applications and enabling interoperability with DVB-I. This takes place as the latter’s parent, DVB, is being schmoozed by five codecs that are hoping to have a role to play in the standard’s future.
