We mentioned way back in January in our report on Voice Remote Controls for the TV, that Deutsche Telekom and Orange (France Telecom) are working together on a voice platform in Europe to rival those of Google and Amazon Alexa. This week it has taken a few steps closer to emerging, as it was shown by Deutsche under its brand name “Magenta” at last week’s IFA trade show in Germany, which paraded it past the 182,000 visitors. Orange markets the same technology as Djingo and they are each initiated with Hello Magenta or Hello Djingo or simply Djingo.
