FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr needs to decide where he stands on NextGen TV. In an underwhelming fireside interview at CES 2026, Carr had the opportunity to put minds at ease regarding the future of ATSC 3.0. Instead, the FCC boss dillydallied around the issue of whether consumer devices sold in the US market will be required to include ATSC 3.0 tuners as standard.
