Sports-centric vMVPD FuboTV has not taken Disney, WBD, and Fox’s proposed joint sports streaming platform—nicknamed “Spulu” by some—lying down. After suing the three giants, labelling them the “Sports Cartel,” Fubo has now dropped 19 Discovery cable channels from its programming, failing to renegotiate a carriage agreement and also unable to license rights for Turner sports networks TNT, TBS and truTV. Meanwhile, hot off the press is a letter from Fubo urging a congressional hearing on the future of competition in pay TV.
