Brazilian broadcaster Globo has procured a suite of new professional video technology tools to take both its livestreaming infrastructure and production pedigree to new levels. While Globo’s technical upgrades come at different ends of the media value chain, the common theme is software. The winning vendors are Harmonic, for its VOS 360 Media SaaS, and Grass Valley, expanding its existing deal with Globo to include the Agile Media Processing Platform (AMPP) for production operations.
