Harmonic has agreed to sell its video business to infrastructure rival MediaKind in a deal valued at just $145 million. The sale for such slim pickings signals a fall from grace of painful proportions for Harmonic—once a multi-billion-dollar giant of video delivery. The acquisition price comes in at $45.5 million less than Harmonic’s full-year 2024 video revenue of $190.5 million—a 24% discount to annual revenue.
