Hewlett-Packard has signed a partnership deal with UK IPTV software player Orca Interactive, to offer triple play to carriers in Mainland China. As part of the partnership, HP will prime and lead projects incorporating Orca’s RiGHTv middleware applications for the delivery of IPTV services such as broadcast TV over IP, Video-on-Demand, Near Video-on-Demand, Personal Video Recording, pay-per-view, games and other interactive services. The two companies said that they have also completed the installation of full-scale demo systems in Shanghai and Beijing to provide customers with a first-hand experience of IPTV.
