Heavily present at the Media Tech Sustainability Summit, a virtual event looking to demystify the sticky subject of sustainability, was British commercial broadcaster ITV – one of the more outspoken broadcasters on environmental concerns. In March this year, ITV released its Climate Transition Plan—done in compliance with the Transition Plan Taskforce and underpinned by science-based targets—which laid out how the company would deliver on its commitment of net-zero emissions by 2050, and to nearly halve scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
