Nordic operator Telenor is in the process of introducing just-in-time (JIT) transcoding technology into its video infrastructure, with a multi-country roll-out planned. As a method for greatly reducing costs associated with content storage and compute services, JIT transcoding—though not a novel concept—is becoming a pretty big deal in streaming circles.
