Portio Research, a European research outfit we’ve not heard of before, says that as many as 50% of mobile users want mobile TV and are prepared to pay on average €10 ($12) a month for all you can eat TV. The survey this is based on also says that video calling has a future, and that despite only 6% having used it already, as many as 60% want to, including 85% of youngsters. And no surprise that when mobile advertising was mentioned its was a big turn off with over 65% expressing a ‘zero tolerance’ attitude to what many consider to be spam on their phone.
