Broadband is now universally available in the UK and has been taken up by 78% of residences, up from 73% a year ago. And this year the average monthly data usage per fixed line broadband user has grown over 40% to 82 GB. The numbers come from UK Regulator Ofcom which has come out with its first Connected Nations Report, which assesses the network condition of each of the Nations inside the UK – England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
