As the sports world was shaken two weeks ago with the announcement of a Disney, WBD, Fox sports OTT joint venture slated to launch in fall 2024, one question on everyone’s lips was, “What about Paramount and NBCU?”. Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch confirmed in an earnings call that the triumvirate is not contemplating adding partners – forcing two rival sports programmers to team up and further wreak misery on sports distributors (see separate story on FuboTV lawsuit).
