Indian media technology services provider Planetcast has acquired Australian video technology suite Switch Media (not to be confused with production and delivery outfit The Switch, which was bought for a steal by Tata last year), in a bid to accelerate its international growth. Owned by private equity firm Apollo Global, Planetcast has since 2022 attempted to break out of its native India where the company’s services have successfully stolen a march on the content playout market.
