Samsung has published its most downbeat financial projections for some years, warning of a nosedive in fourth quarter operating profit to KRW4.3 trillion ($3.4 billion), down from almost KRW14 trillion ($11 billion) in the year-ago period. The supply chain disruptions that affected the semiconductor business last year are clearly starting to show through in earnest in the financial results of Samsung, for whom chips are its biggest source of revenue.
