European fiber owner Colt Telecom has a reputation for getting it right, but only after it has at least got it wrong once. And that seems to be the case for its new Hosted IP PBX service unveiled this week with equipment partner Avaya. Back in April Colt came to market with an IP Centrex service built around the Siemens SURPASS hiE 9200 Softswitch technology, which offered all you can eat VoIP plus advanced features such as Voicemail, follow me, point and click moves, additions and changes, hunt groups, click-to-dial, hotdesking and homeworking, all controlled from a web interface.
