Chinese smart TV OEM TCL launched its own streaming service TCLtv+ last week, prior to its ‘Global Flagship Product Launch,’ an introduction to a jumble of household appliances including TVs, smartphones, and a new iteration of its RayNeo X2 AR glasses, which bear a keen resemblance to spectacles worn by iconic cartoon characters. But first, the new TCLtv+ platform will host over 200 free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels and more than 1,500 on-demand movies and TV series from Scripps Media, Fremantle, NBCUniversal, FilmRise, Banijay, and other content holders.
