When we heard that Comcast, Charter, and ViacomCBS were divvying up the decentralized, data-driven media network Blockgraph, we were skeptical. Surely three of US media’s biggest companies could play the system to their advantage and keep suspicious competitors away from a service that relies on as many inputs as possible. Speaking to Blockgraph’s CEO, Jason Manningham, this week, we were assured that this has not proved a problem. Manningham seemed highly optimistic that the likes of Discovery, Disney, AT&T, and Verizon would soon be clients, again emphasizing the decentralize nature of Blockgraph. “We simply provide the application and let them join the network.
