As times goes on, the acquisition of Israeli IPTV middleware specialist Orca a few years back by French conditional access player Viaccess makes more and more sense. It is now giving Orca access to software based content protection as the market goes multiscreen, and Orca in return has broadened the Viaccess software platform to be more than just conditional access and to take in recommendations, search and UI.
