Widevine Technologies has another win for its IPTV DRM system Cypher with the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), for its IPTV uplink and downlink service, Stockholm Teleport. SSC distributes broadcast and VOD content across its satellite and broadband network to downstream operators, including Scandinavia’s FastTV. SSC provides IPTV playout services to city and regional networks across Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Alongside Widevine’s DRM, FastTV has implemented middleware from Dreampark, with Kreatel set-top boxes. SSC said it bought a DRM so that its downstream customer services are free to acquire and license premium Hollywood content.
