A question being asked right across the content spectrum is what impact OTT and multiscreen deployments will have on IP multicast. There seems to be uncertainty throughout the ecosystem, from vendors of middleware and delivery platforms to broadcasters, rights holders and pay TV operators. The uncertainty reflects the fact that there is not a single answer, since OTT comes in different shapes and sizes. Two points though can be nailed down straight away.
