Wowza, the US-based streaming software stalwart, has made only its third acquisition since the company’s founding in 2007. In doing so, Wowza claims to become the first video infrastructure software provider to introduce agentic AI technology in the configuration and support stages of video delivery. In a deal that has flown under the radar, Wowza recently struck a deal to acquire a firm called AVA Intellect—pitched as an AI-native start-up specializing in agent technology for video platforms.
