Under the shadow of darkness during the past year, NBCUniversal has been grafting away to create a fully cloud-native media creation platform. Boasting nimble, automated and elastically scalable technology, NBCU has given us a sniff of the new platform for the first time. Interestingly, NBCU is now in the process of challenging third-party vendors to provide a more cloud-native SaaS model for software licensing – one of the key technology gaps identified by the Comcast-owned company during its cloud transition journey.
