It’s a bold claim, but CPE slinger Calix is claiming to have nailed 99% uptake of its premium WiFi equipment and services, among the broadband customers of Wisconsin ISP Norvado. Better still, thanks to the installation service offered, Norvado claims to have “fully eliminated” truck roll to these customers. We were able to speak with Chad Mix, Head of Marketing for Norvado, via Calix’s Dale Legaspi. The operator has around 7,000 broadband customers in its rural Wisconsin footprint, and around 3,500 video customers on its IPTV service. To date, around 1,500 of these broadband subs have moved to the new Calix-based Apex equipment, but among new customers, 99% are choosing that managed WiFi offering. Mix said that Norvado is trying…
