Disney+ has reached a domestic glass ceiling, hitting 46.3 million subscribers in the US and Canada, after registering a loss of 0.3 million users in the most recent quarter. The contraction of Disney’s flagship streaming service has catalyzed the consolidation of its D2C portfolio, with the announcement that Disney+ will house Hulu content, in a new unified app experience due to launch domestically by the end of this year.
