Satellite fleet operator Eutelsat has announced the sale of its European retail broadband business assets to an unnamed “experienced private operator.” Eutelsat is in the process of acquiring OneWeb, and about to fire up its new satellite constellation, focusing on wholesale rather than retail, but still, the deal is a strange one. Given the interest in satellite, there are plenty of buyers looking to get into the game. However, the wording suggests that an existing satellite network operator is the buyer.
