Boston-based TV station WWOO-LD was recently granted experimental permission from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to deliver a first-of-its-kind proof of concept in 5G Broadcast technology. The feat, achieved just days before IBC 2023, is also being trumpeted as the first low-power TV demonstration in the US market.
