US-based CacheFly is one of several niche CDN vendors to capitalize on the migration of customer contracts from Lumen and StackPath to Akamai. The recent CDN fire sale has left a sour taste in the mouths of many former Lumen and StackPath clients, which had been paying for their respective content delivery services specifically to avoid having to do business with Akamai. CacheFly’s Director of Business Development, Edward Fitzgerald, came over from StackPath to CacheFly recently, bringing with him a contact list which has so far helped CacheFly secure 15 clients directly from the fallen StackPath CDN business.
