The latest Antenna State of Subscriptions Report for Q1 2024 has sought to defend the notion that providers of premium SVoDs are struggling to deliver on the pressures of profitability, and are instead entering a new era driven by more sophisticated marketing and product strategies, all underpinned by data. At Faultline, we are not convinced by Antenna’s confidence that the top 9 premium SVoD providers in the US marketplace will survive the forthcoming streaming storms, with consolidation likely a necessary evil for some.
