The start of summer has ushered in a wave of new operator device launches in Europe – from heavyweights Sky Italia (with Sky Stream), Vodafone Deutschland (with GigaTV), and Orange France (with the new STB 6). Sky, Vodafone, and Orange all have contrasting strategies when it comes to device launches. Sky has set a benchmark for operators to go all-IP. Vodafone has reaffirmed its commitment to Android TV by canning its partnership with Apple.
