Google’s historic antitrust case has only just begun. The US Department of Justice has confirmed its recommendation that a federal judge order the giant of search and cloud services to sell off its iconic Chrome browser. A Bloomberg report puts the initial valuation of Chrome alone at $20 billion, which sounds grossly undervalued considering that 3.5 billion people worldwide use the browser. In the US, Chrome wields almost a 60% share of the browser market across all platforms, rising to 67% on a worldwide level, per Statcounter data.
