Disney+ is the latest mainstream video platform to adopt HDR10+, following its sister service Hulu and joining other platforms like Prime Video (Amazon co-developed HDR10+ with Samsung), Paramount+, YouTube, Apple TV+, Rakuten TV, Magenta TV, Tving, Watcha, and Megogo. Announcing the feature update at CES 2025, Disney highlighted the improved brightness and contrast offered by HDR10+, as well as its ease of implementation, robust standardization, and—importantly—the absence of licensing fees.
