The overlap in the Venn diagram between the media industry and the automotive sector is one that has long been looked on with skepticism. A deflated hype bubble or an emerging opportunity; cars with screens have been cruising streets for decades, so what evidence is there that roads are ready for a connected car revolution? Every major media and entertainment tradeshow, without question, plays host to some sort of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) demonstration, typically Android Automotive OS.
