French anti-piracy outfit Viaccess-Orca has given its excuses to Faultline for leaving us hanging without a crumb of pirate streaming data following the 2022 FIFA World Cup, after reporting data for the industry to feast on for both the 2014 and 2018 global soccer tournaments. It is a frustrating and depleting task when technology companies track and report important data to the community, only then to stop reporting it overnight, long before that data can be adequately plotted over time to produce anything that might be considered a trend.
