An eccentric C-level executive for Russian telco Beeline has revealed a few things about its cloud TV transformation project with Kaltura that the video technology vendor would probably have preferred to stay off the record. Firstly, came the unexpected exposé that Beeline spent more money on designing the new UI for the upgraded Beeline TV platform, commissioning an expensive London-based design agency, than it spent on developing the technical platform itself – which is a little embarrassing for Kaltura having spearheaded such a mammoth Mediaroom migration project for Beeline.
