The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has published a recommendation document on the procurement of interoperable content delivery networks (CDNs) – viewed as pivotal by the group for sustainable online distribution, as EBU members increasingly depend on public and private CDNs. Recommendations within the 17-page document range from the obvious, such as using a multi-CDN set-up over a single CDN when entering a multi-year contract, to more detailed technical requirements and SLA guidelines to be included in CDN procurement documents.
