Remember the name ContentWise? Once a pioneer of content recommendation engines powering some of the earliest IPTV projects in Europe, the Italian vendor virtually vanished into thin air a couple of years ago, until it reappeared recently on the catwalk as a company with a new identity in fashion and publishing personalization. While content is still at the core of the ContentWise message, the company is proud of its metadata expansion into newer verticals, although we might say its retreat from content has gifted a sizable portion of the market to rivals like ThinkAnalytics.
