Elemental Technologies has published a white paper proposing that video providers will benefit most by implementing support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) in software rather than hardware, due to the uncertainty of standardizations. The report, entitled ‘High Dynamic Range Video – Implementing Support for HDR using Software-Defined Video Solutions,’ states that there is no guarantee that a single approach to HDR will be agreed upon any time soon.
