While the US seeks to stifle start-ups in the internet era by unraveling net neutrality, European regulators have a plan in place to similar effect, but with every intention of benefiting content owners. A new censorship reform could potentially harm OTT industry players – in what opposers have coined a “vote for mass internet censorship”.
