Irdeto tasked with plugging further leaks in Mediaset OTT biz

Mediaset España, the Italian media firm’s Spanish TV arm, is hoping to repair the fractured reputation of the Mediaset brand for which Vivendi has historically taken the brunt of blame. There was no reprimanding the French mass media giant for the latest debacle however, following the shambolic debut of Mediaset España’s OTT video service Mitele Plus in July 2019 after transmission cuts resulted in the service being brandished a “scam” and “fraud” across social media.
