The shine has been well and truly taken off Starzplay following the rebrand to Lionsgate+, with the streaming service set to be pulled from seven territories. It effectively marks the sensational fall from grace of a merged global media brand into a North American one overnight – and is a timely reminder that Lionsgate has been quietly trying to divest the Starz business for many months.
