In a testing week for Faultline, we endured a whole 40 minutes of Informa trumpet-blowing before the star of the show eventually made an appearance in his own webinar, in the form of Magine Pro CEO Matthew Wilkinson. The familiar name is what piqued our interest, with Magine Pro resurfacing out of nowhere as the partially rebranded B2B technology arm of the now defunct Nordic streaming service Magine TV. Despite positioning itself as providing end-to-end OTT video and multiscreen technologies – covering ingest, encoding, analytics, CMS, multi-CDN support, security, billing and more – not a smidgen of technology was mentioned in an hour of talk more focused on the over-digested market progress of Disney+ than on Magine Pro itself.
