Evoca, the US hybrid video platform harnessing ATSC 3.0 technology, has made a radical improvement to the fledgling experience by deploying additional software from existing set top OS supplier Vewd, the former Opera TV outfit. Vewd’s Operator Experience (OpX) product has been added to Evoca’s Scout CPE, which already runs the Vewd OS, to present content according to viewing format rather than the transmission method – merging linear TV, on-demand content, and third-party applications in a way that is supposedly levels above in seamlessness.
