In the week running up to the Super Bowl, the announcement was made that a lawsuit that will decide whether the NFL and its broadcast partners are engaging in anticompetitive practices will go ahead – in February 2024. A lengthy evidence gathering and discovery process, as well as the impact of Covid-19, is being cited for the lead time, but the roadmap is notable.
