As part of MovieLabs’ rush to pull forward many of the takeaways from its 2030 Vision paper, the group is working on something called common ontologies within software-defined workflows for movie studios. MovieLabs CEO Rich Berger walked registrants of the recent HPA Tech Retreat event through what gives MovieLabs its name. The first laboratory on the tour is where MovieLabs is currently studying creative executives to try to understand why they won’t act in more predictable ways.
