Having onboarded 2.2 million subscribers, Q3 2020 marked only the sixth time since 2016 that Netflix has fallen short of its projected subscriber gains, missing the latest quarterly target by 0.3 million. For the other 13 of those 19 quarters, the company has exceeded subscriber additions to the tune of 124.6 million global paid net adds from a forecast 108.1 million subs over this time. Today, it sits teasingly close to 200 million global subs.
