Analytics specialist Nice People at Work (NPAW) has published its Video Streaming Industry Report, spanning the first half of the year. It requires some framing, but shows that competition in the OTT sector is increasing – driving the per-user time spent with each service down. The use of weird metrics has not helped clarity, but with a bit of digging, the picture presented by NPAW gets a lot clearer than the first glance. NPAW pulled the data used from its NPAW Suite, an analytics and management service, saying it accurately reflects the real-time consumption and quality-of-experience performance.
