The latest industry survey from QoE video analytics vendor NPAW takes a systematic look at the state of advertising in the streaming landscape – one that purposely paints ad servers in a bad light to emphasize the value of third-party advertising analytics tools. The headline findings are that an overwhelming 76% of SVoD providers plan to introduce ads by 2025, of which 59% will implement a hybrid business model – meaning that 15% of SVoDs envisage evolving to a fully ad-supported business model sometime in the future.
