European broadcasters have seized the 5G Broadcast baton after a large-scale trial at the summer Olympic Games by setting up a working group and publishing a receiver profile. The latter has been designed for vendors and technology companies within the broadcast and mobile ecosystems and has been submitted to 5G-MAG (Media Action Group). This is the industry association overseeing development and maintenance of the 5G Broadcast specification, or ETSI TS 103 720.
